Building on Orientalism, the famous essay by Edward W. Said, the group exhibition Desorientalismos seeks to investigate an imagined geography as a result of colonialism characterized by the intention of "orientalizing the oriental" in cultural representations. In this sense, the title of the exhibition refers both to this issue as to the sense of disorienting or losing orientation. The Desorientalismos project will have a continuation in the coming years and is part of a line of research of this museum on artistic production in North Africa and the Middle East.

The group exhibition includes work from the following artists: Amina Agueznay, Kamrooz Aram, Ariella Azoulay, Aslı Çavuşoğlu, Gülsün Karamustafa, Jumana Manna, Asunción Molinos Gordo and Teresa Solar.
