The Jameel Prize is an international award for contemporary art and design inspired by Islamic tradition. This is the 10th year of the biennial prize, which began in 2009 as a pioneering platform showcasing the rich intersection of contemporary forms with traditional Islamic designs and concepts.

Spread across five galleries in Jameel Arts Centre, the fifth edition of the Jameel Prize brings together works in painting, architecture, fashion and drawing as well as a large-scale multimedia installation.

The Jameel Prize 5 shortlisted artists and designers are Kamrooz Aram, naqsh collective, Hayv Kahraman, Hala Kaiksow, Mehdi Moutashar, Younes Rahmoun, Wardha Shabbir and Marina Tabassum.
