MAAT (Museum of Art, Architecture and Technology) in Lisbon, Portugal
7 February - 21 May 2017
Curated by Gregory Lang and Inês Grosso
The exhibition Variable Dimensions: Artists and Architecture, which was shown at the Pavillon de L’Arsenal, in Paris, from October 2015 to January 2016, brings together a selection of works by artists who explore the intersection between art and architecture addressing issues such as the city and contemporary architecture, circulation systems, urban fluxes and networks, real cities and virtual spaces, the city in the flux of time, architecture and domestic spaces, modern and architectural utopias, narratives on the use of scale, form and substance, and, finally, works that directly relate to the ideas of scale, dimensions, and measuring tools and systems. The MAAT aims to present a new version of this exhibition, based on the original selection of works and the artists included in the catalog published for the occasion of the show in Paris.
